“Shaver” came to Lazy Ear summer of 2009. He was raised and trained by the Stang family of Princeton, MN. They own both his sire and dam. His sire, Docs Daybreaker, is the sire of multiple WSCA Game Horses. Many of the Docs Daybreaker horses have also been very competitive at larger barrel races around the area and have competed at the Midwest Match Race. They are known for their all around ability and having a great attitude. Shaver’s dam, Shustring Sue, is a very accomplished game horse. She has won several times at the MN WSCA Champ Show. Shaver has been started on all the game events (barrels, poles, key race, jump figure 8, 4-in-line barrels, etc) and is getting more consistent with each run. He has a laid back personality but has the get up and go when being asked for it. Erin will continue to show him at WSCA shows and jackpots and he will also be exposed to cattle and team sorting.

His dam: Runnin Jessie Orchid is out of Marthas Six Moons, SI99 AAA, who also is a leading barrel futurity sire with nearly $3 million in earnings. “Rookie” stands 15.2+ hands. He has two foal crops on the ground and has produced palomino, buckskin and blue roan foals. He has a lot of speed and sensibility. His turns are quick and effortless. Rookie is started on the barrels and will be running futurities in 2009.

We have owned "Smoke" since he was a yearling. We have done all of the training on him. Smoke has been trail riding in the Black Hills of SD and throughout MN. He has been team sorted and team penned on. He was shown successfully in barrel futurities in 2007. My family has shown him at WSCA shows and Open Jackpots. He is a jackpot money earner, has won several high point games and placed at the WSCA Champ Show.
